The Govt. of Assam, Panchayat & Rural Development is mandated to promote livelihoods amongst disadvantaged communities across the state to reduce the rural poverty. Commissioner, Panchayat & Rural Development has been entrusted implementation of various projects/schemes for poverty eradication in the State.

1.  Director, Social Audit – 01 Post
Salary: Rs. 1,10, 000/-
Educational Qualifications: (i) Must be a post graduate from the reputed institutions/university in Rural Development/ Social Work / Rural Management.
(ii) She/ he should have at least 10 years of experience in rural development, community mobilization & Institution building.
(iii) Experience in Social Audit is desirable
(iv) Immense knowledge on transparency and accountability framework.
(v) Must have the ability to speak any of the local languages viz. Assamese/Bengali/Bodo
(vi) To furnish character certificates from two eminent persons including Govt officials.

2.  Social Audit Specialist – 01 Post
Salary: Rs. 50,000/-
Educational Qualifications: (i) Post Graduation in Social Science preferably MSW with 5 years of working experience on social audits and rights of the poor.
(ii) Significant in-depth experience in working on Social Issues and rights of the poor in general.
(iii) The State Audit Specialist (Process) should have prior experience of working with any reputed Civil Society Organizations.
(iv) Should have in depth knowledge in the conduct of social audits and its related processes.
(v) Immense knowledge on transparency and accountability, measures
(vi) Should have skill such as Team Management & co-ordination.
(vii) Must possess mentor like quality to train and handhold social auditors at level.
(viii) Must have the ability to speak any of the local languages viz. Assamese/Bengali/Bodo.

3.  Social Audit Expert – 05 Post
Salary: Rs. 40,000/-
Educational Qualifications: (i) Post Graduation in Social Science preferably MSW with 3 years of working experience on social audits and rights of the poor.
(ii) Significant in-depth experience in working on Social Issues and rights of the poor in general
(iii) The Social Audit Expert should have prior experience working with any reputed Civil Society Organizations working in Assam.
(iv)  Should have in depth knowledge in preparing Participatory training modules for different levels of stakeholders.
(v) Knowledge on transparency and accountability, measures
(vi)  Should have skill such as Team Management & co-ordination.
(vii) Must possess mentor like quality to train and handhold social auditors at level.
(viii) Must have the ability to speak any of the local languages viz. Assamese/Bengali/Bodo
(ix) To furnish character certificates from two eminent persons including Govt officials.

4.  District Resource Person (DRP) – 27 Post
Salary: Rs. 30,000/-
Educational Qualifications: (i) Post Graduate in Social Science preferably MSW with at least 3 years of Post-Qualification-work-experience. Post-Qualification work experience in on social audit and rights of poor.
(ii) The DRP should have prior experience of working with reputed Civil Society Organizations working in Assam.
(iii) Should have prior knowledge in the conduct of social audits and its related processes.

5.  Block Resource Person – 219 Post
Salary: Rs. 20,000/-
Educational Qualifications: (i) Graduate in Social Work. Desirable- 2 years of Post-Qualification-work experience in NGOs preferably Social Audit.
(ii) The BRP should have prior experience of working with reputed Civil Society Organizations working in Assam.
(iii) Should have prior knowledge in the conduct of social audits and its related processes.
(iv)  Should be pro participatory, pro poor and sensitive towards the issue of equity and justice.
(v)  Should have required Team Management & Co-ordination skills and attitude.
(vi) The work of BRP will involve extensive travels to rural areas of Assam, overnight stay in the villages, fight for the rights of the MGNREGA workers and poor. S/he should be willing to stay in the rural areas and face bravely the challenges that might come in the process of ensuring justice to the poor. The Jurisdiction of the BRPs is transferable to any district of Assam.
(vii)  Must have the ability to speak any of the following local languages viz. Assamese/Bengali/Bodo
(viii) To furnish character certificates from two eminent persons including Govt. officials.
