Applications from the Indian citizens are invited for the post of Associate Dean, College of Horticulture, Nalbari; Assistant Professor (Aquatic Animal Health Management), College of Fisheries, Roha and Jr. Scientist (Agriculture Engineering) under the  AICRP on Irrigation Water Management.

Associate Dean

Pay Band: Rs. 37400-67000 with GP Rs. 10000/-

Educational Qualifications: (i) Passed Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture/Horticulture

(ii) Secured 55% marks or minimum Cumulative Grade Pont Average (MCGPA) of 3.00 in 4 point scale or 7.00 in 10 point scale at the Master’s degree level in the disciplines of Agriculture/Horticulture from an Indian University, or a foreign  university.

(iii) Ph.D. degree in  concerned discipline.

(iv) A minimum of 10 years of service experience (excluding the period spent in obtaining Ph.D. degree) in  teaching/research/extension out of which 5 years in the rank of Associate Professor or Equivalent in a university or research/extension institution.

(v) The candidate must have published at least 10(ten) publications (research paper, book, chapter of book, review paper, monograph).

(vi) A minimum score (44 out of 80) as stipulated in the ‘Academic Performance Indicator’ (API) based ‘Performance Based Appraisal System’ (PBAS), prescribed for Direct Recruitment in AAU (Score Card Code no. DP-1) to be called for interview.

Assistant Professor (Aquatic Animal Health Management)

Pay Band: Rs. 15600-39100 with GP Rs. 6000/-

Educational Qualifications: (i) Passed Bachelor’s Degree in  Fisheries.

(ii) Secured minimum 55% marks or minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (MCGPA) of 3.00 in 4 point scale or 7.00 in 10 point scale at the Master’s degree level in the discipline of  Aqutic Animal Health Management    from an Indian university or a foreign university.

(iii) Qualified National Eligibility Test (NET). NET is not required for disciplines in which NET is not conducted. NET is waived for candidates with Ph.D. degree, provided such degree is obtained under course credit system in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedures for Award of Ph.D. Degree, 2009 Regulation)and the candidate has at least two full length publications having NAAS rating not less than 4, on the last date of submission of application.

Jr. Scientist (Agriculture Engineering)

Pay Band: Rs. 15600-39100 with GP Rs. 6000/-

Educational Qualifications: (i) Passed Bachelor’s Degree in Agricultural Engineering.

(ii) Secured minimum 55% marks or minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (MCGPA) of 3.00 in 4 point scale or 7.00 in 10 point scale at the Master’s degree level in the disciplines of  Agricultural Engineering with specialization in Soil & Water Conservation   from an Indian university or a foreign university.

(iii) Qualified National Eligibility Test (NET). NET is not required for disciplines in which NET is not conducted. NET is waived for candidates with Ph.D. degree, provided such degree is obtained under course credit system in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedures for Award of Ph.D. Degree, 2009 Regulation)and the candidate has at least two full length publications having NAAS rating not less than 4, on the last date of submission of application. NET requirement is not mandatory for the discipline of Agric. Engineering.

Applications Fee:  Application fee is to be deposted at Powerjyoti Account of the University lying with the State Bank of India, AAU Jorhat Branch (A/c No. 33019714091). For payment, a challan copy may be downloaded from the University website and fee-paid Challan copy may is to be enclosed along with the application form. The prescribed fee is Rs. 300/-  in case of general candidates sand Rs. 150/- in case of SC/ST/PH candidates.

Educational Qualifications & Essential: M.Sc. (Agri).

Desirable: Preference will be given to the candidates having good skill in computer application and at least 3 years working experience in the Research project/ Department.

Driver

Pay Band: Rs. 5200-20200 with GP Rs. 2500/-

Educational Qualifications & Essential: Pass HSLC or its equivalent examination of a recognised board + valid Driving License in heavy and light motor vehicle.

Desirable: Preference will be given to the candidates having 5 years working experience in any Govt. Department/ Autonomous body/Govt. undertaking.
