Applications are invited from candidates meeting the following qualification & other parameters for engagement as Apprentices under Apprentices Act, 1961/1973(as amended from time to time) in the Trade/Discipline mentioned below.

1. Trade Apprentice/ Attendant Operator (Chemical Plant) – 14 Post
Pay Band: 1st year-Rs. 6970/- 2nd year-Rs. 7220/-
Educational Qualifications: 3 years Full time B.Sc.(Physics, Maths, Chemistry/Industrial Chemistry).
2. Trade Apprentice (Fitter) Mechanical – 04 Post
Pay Band: Rs. 6970/-
Educational Qualifications: Metric with 2(Two) year ITI (Fitter) course.
3. Trade Apprentice (Boiler) Mechanical – 03 Post
Pay Band: 1st year-Rs. 6490/- 2nd year-Rs. 6700/- 3rd year-Rs. 6970/
Educational Qualifications: 3 years Full time B.Sc. (Physics, Maths, Chemistry/Industrial Chemistry).
Pay Band: Rs. 7530/- (SI. No. 4 to 7)
4. Technician Apprentice Chemical – 14 Post
Educational Qualifications: Minimum 3 years full time, regular/ sandwich Diploma in Chemical Engineering / Refinery & Petrochemicals Engineering.
5. Technician Apprentice Mechanical – 04 Post
Educational Qualifications: Minimum 3 years full time, regular/ sandwich Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
6. Technician Apprentice Electrical – 05 Post
Educational Qualifications: Minimum 3 years full time, regular/ sandwich Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
7. Technician Apprentice Instrumentation – 02 Post
Educational Qualifications: Minimum 3 years full time, regular/ sandwich Diploma in Instrumentation/ Instrumentation & Electronics / Instrumentation & Control.
Selection Methodology: (i) Selections for engagement of Apprentices would be based on written test and personal interview. The written Test will be of two hours duration & would carry a weight age of 85%. The maximum weight age for interview will be 15%.
(ii) The candidates will have to qualify successfully through each stage of the selection process i.e. Written Test and Personal Interview (Minimum 40%, relax able by 5% for candidates from SC/ST/PWD Categories against reserved positions) and Pre-employment medical fitness for being adjudged suitable for engagement.
(iii) Candidates are advised to ensure that they are medically fit as per Indian Oil’s pre-employment medical standard.
